Walgreens Shopping

I'm heading to Walgreens this week. I'm still trying to figure out their "Register Rewards" but seem to be getting better and better at it. They give you $$ back for buying certain items. I try to make sure I actually need the items but it's hard to pass up free!! A lot of times they will have a register reward that is the same as the product price, basically making it free. And if you happen to have a coupon, well then you just made a little money:) See transactions #1 & #3 below.

The only 2 annoying things 1) you have to do multiple transactions to get all the register rewards you want, their computer only allows 1 reward per transaction and 2) you don't get cash, just a coupon for however many dollars off on your next transaction. I suppose there may be more annoying little rules but I haven't found them yet.

So here's what I'm thinking of getting this week:

Trans #1

Dove for Men @ $5.99 less $1.50 coupon = $4.49, get $5.99 back

**I don't really need this but did you notice I'm spending less than they are giving me back?! So I'm making $1.50 on this transaction. Buy this to save on the cleaning stuff that I actually need.

Trans #2

Swiffer Wet Jet Cloths @ $5.99

Swiffer Wet Jet Cleaner @ $3.99

Magic Erasers @ $2.50

= $12.48 less $2RR (last week) & $5.99 (above) = $4.49, get $2 back

Trans #3

Secret Deodorant @ $3.99 less $.50 coupon & $2 RR (above)

= $1.49, get $1.50 back

**I will have to pick up 1 other item on this transaction because I have too many coupons so I'm planning to get 2 Valentines pencils for $.20 each.

Trans #4

Starbucks (4-Pack) Mocha @ $4.99 less $1 coupon & $1.50 RR (above)

= $2.49, get $1 back

**I need more items on this one too so I'm going to get Valentine activity books for $.34 each. Oh and I don't really 'need' these, this is more of a want!!

Totals:

Spent: $14.02 (will still have $1 register reward for next time too)

Saved: $14.59

Or I'm going to get $28 worth of products for $14:)
